Pokras Lampas turns a brick facade into a message for future generations. TIME _ CAPSULE explores his calligrafuturist mural at Lennauchfilm in St Petersburg through moving photographs, original footage and an instrumental trap soundtrack.
The mural invites viewers to decode its letters, signs and references to writing cultures across different eras. Its black-and-white composition follows the building’s brick architecture, connecting cinema history with contemporary street art.
According to the artist’s statement, the inscription was written in May 2026. It recalls the studio’s history of making science films since 11 February 1933 and its legacy of more than 4,000 films. The supplied project statement is dated 14 July 2026.
