Light becomes a body. A letter dissolves into fog. A robot repeats a task that never stays finished. AFTERIMAGE is an original short art film connecting four encounters with media and installation art from the Venice Biennale 2019.
Using three supplied photographs and a GIF, this film moves between works by Tavares Strachan, Jitish Kallat, Marko Peljhan, and Sun Yuan & Peng Yu. Animated camera moves, a travelling thread of light and shader transitions form an editorial conversation between the works, accompanied by English narration and an original instrumental score.

The original photographs are preserved. The GIF was lightly denoised, enlarged and motion-interpolated; processing does not recover missing source detail. English narration uses local Supertonic 3. The original instrumental score was composed with Tone.js.
