Remember when phones had buttons, batteries lasted forever, and Snake was peak entertainment?
Well, someone just brought Claude AI to a Nokia from 2007.
Developer Emir Karşıyakalı created an open-source AI chat client for Nokia Series 40 phones, including the legendary Nokia 6300.
And yes, it actually works.
You can type questions on a physical keypad, send them to Claude, and get AI-generated responses on that tiny 240×320 screen.
No touchscreen. No modern smartphone. Just good old Java ME, a small Go server, and some wonderfully unnecessary engineering.
The project has since evolved into AIKON, supporting ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok alongside Claude.
The AI runs remotely, but the nostalgia is 100% local.
2007 hardware. 2026 intelligence.
