What if you could take a viral video, give it to an AI, and turn it into an actual video game? Not just a visual recreation. A fully explorable 3D world. And what if the entire process took just 40 minutes? About a year ago, a video featuring an enormous, seemingly endless fortress went viral on Twitter. Yesterday, I gave that video to Claude Opus 5.5, connected it to an AI image generator for creating assets, provided specialized Three.js development skills, and asked for one thing: "Build me a game like this. But make it possible to actually reach the roof of the fortress." And Claude took the assignment rather seriously. First, it analyzed the original video and calculated what exploring this massive structure would actually involve. The results were ridiculous: - 2.2 kilometers of walking to reach the roof - 46 minutes at normal walking speed - Two movement modes: walking and sprinting with Shift - A fully explorable fortress with interconnected interior spaces Then it built the game. What Claude created in approximately 40 minutes: - A playable 3D fortress inspired by the original video - Procedurally assembled architecture and explorable interiors - AI-generated visual assets - A physics and movement system - Original background music - Walking and sprinting mechanics - A guided navigation system that automatically leads you to the roof All running directly in your browser. No traditional game development pipeline. No manually building hundreds of rooms. Just Claude Opus 5.5, Three.js, AI-generated assets, and a prompt. And here's what I find most interesting. We're getting dangerously close to the era of personal video games. See something interesting on the internet? Turn it into a game. Want to explore a fictional world? Generate it. Wish your favorite game had different mechanics, environments, or an entirely new storyline? Just ask. Of course, this experiment still has bugs. I could spend another few hours adding gameplay mechanics, improving the environments, and polishing everything. But I think I'll stop here. Because the interesting part isn't whether the game is perfect. It's that a single person can now turn a random internet video into an explorable world in less than an hour. And that's a pretty remarkable change. Play the game yourself: https://claude.ai/artifact/78NPvbJMLcQikzukVq7BqW Tip: Click the Guide button to automatically navigate through the fortress and reach the roof. Or explore it yourself, if you've got 46 minutes to spare. #ClaudeCode #ClaudeOpus #VibeCoding #AIGameDevelopment #ThreeJS #AIAgents
