Red paper. Black ink. A quiet gesture in the Bangkok night.
A 30-second cinematic art study of Pokras Lampas’s “Seals of Good Intentions”: three calligraphic scrolls against a closed street gate, brought into motion from a series of photographs.
According to the artist’s account supplied for this film, the series began as he was saying goodbye to his Bangkok studio. He turned leftover paper and ink into wishes for prosperity, protection, love and luck, leaving the first work near the studio for the people who would open the gates the next morning.
No narration — just slow camera movement, the texture of ink and paper, and a restrained bell-toned electronic soundtrack.
