A physical commodity does not have one context-free price. Origin, grade, delivery terms, available transport, port access, timing, currency and the identity of counterparties can all change how an indication should be interpreted. Market knowledge therefore travels through a mix of calls, messages, spreadsheets, documents and specialist relationships.
Fragmentation is not simply a software problem: some differences reflect real commercial conditions and should remain visible. Better infrastructure helps people distinguish those conditions, retain the source and time of an observation, and carry relevant context into the next decision. It can improve continuity without claiming that every quote is comparable or every signal is complete.
